Guidance from 25 Years of Practice

I share how I think through cases, what I listen for, how I respond in the moment, and why certain approaches work better than others. You’re learning from lived experience, not a scripted system.

Practical Skill Development

Build skills you can actually use with real people. You’ll learn how to conduct consultations, structure sessions, work with resistance, and adapt your approach to different clients. The focus is on communication, judgment, and flexibility, not memorizing scripts or forcing techniques. This course teaches you how to work, not just what to say.

About the Course

Why Learn the Whole Brain Approach to Hypnotherapy? Most hypnotherapy training focuses on getting clients “deep” and delivering suggestions. In real practice, that approach often falls short, especially with analytical, resistant, or highly aware clients. My work takes a different path. After more than 25 years working with clients, I developed what I call a Whole Brain approach to hypnotherapy. Instead of trying to bypass the conscious mind, this method works with it. The conscious and subconscious are both engaged so change makes sense, feels safe, and actually sticks. This course is about understanding how hypnotherapy works in real sessions with real people, not just how it looks on paper. You will learn how to think like a hypnotherapist, not just follow techniques. What This Training Focuses On • How to work effectively with clients who do not “go deep” • How to engage the conscious mind instead of fighting it • How beliefs form and why symptoms make sense in context • How to structure sessions based on the individual in front of you • How to adapt your language, pacing, and approach in the moment • How to move beyond scripts and into real clinical judgment This is practical training based on lived experience, not a rigid system you have to force onto every client. How the Course Is Structured This is a fully self-paced professional training. You will move through video, audio, and written material at your own pace.  You can revisit lessons, reflect, and integrate what you are learning rather than rushing to complete modules. Practice is a required part of the learning process.  Hypnotherapy is a skill, and skills develop through doing. Whether you are taking this course for professional development, skill building, or future certification, you will be expected to practice what you learn with real people. A Note About Certification I do not personally certify hypnotherapists. However, this training provides the knowledge, structure, and practical foundation required by many professional hypnotherapy associations. If you wish to pursue certification through a governing body, it is your responsibility to research their specific requirements, including practice hours and documentation. I am happy to guide you in understanding what is typically required and how this training supports that path. Many students take this course purely for the depth of understanding and skill development it provides. That is a valid and supported choice.

Meet Your Instructor, Linda Sevilla

I have been working as a clinical hypnotherapist since 1999. Over the years, I have worked with thousands of clients, helping them understand the root of their symptoms and change long-standing patterns related to anxiety, trauma, habits, physical symptoms, and emotional blocks. I come from a background in education, and teaching has always been part of how I work. In 2004, I opened my hypnotherapy school to pass on what I was learning in practice. Not theory. Not trends. What actually worked. My approach is client-centered, practical, and grounded in curiosity rather than control. I do not believe people are broken, and I do not believe hypnotherapy is about fixing anyone. It is about helping people access their own understanding and capacity for change. This course represents the accumulation of decades of clinical work, teaching, refinement, and real-world problem solving. I am sharing how I think, how I listen, and how I work with the human mind. If you are looking for quick credentials, this may not be the right fit. If you want to understand hypnotherapy at a deeper level and learn how to work with people as they actually are, you will feel at home here.
